Why Gratitude Matters
One of the biggest hurdles we all face towards living a happy life is our tendency to focus on what is lacking and ignore the immensity of what we have to be thankful for.
The emotions we experience are not dependent on the circumstances of our lives. They are a result of the way we perceive our circumstances.
Intentionally fostering a perspective of gratitude and optimism as often as possible literally changes the way you think so that over time your initial outlook on things is one of positive emotion rather than negative thinking.
It always feels better to be grateful than it does to have a pessimistic perspective.
The benefits of practicing gratitude are nearly endless. People who regularly practice gratitude by taking time to notice and reflect upon the things they're thankful for experience more positive emotions, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even have stronger immune systems. And gratitude doesn't need to be reserved only for momentous occasions: Sure, you might express gratitude after receiving a promotion at work, but you can also be thankful for something as simple as a delicious piece of pie.
The best part of practicing Gratitude daily after a period of time, is that this becomes your default state. You are physically rewiring how your brain works.
For the next 66 days……we will together practice Gratitude on a daily basis in our best attempt to support each other to truly and genuinely feel grateful every day, so that we can shift our mindset away from the negative and toward the positive and truly embrace practicing gratitude daily.
We hope that this mission will help build a sense of accountability within our sisterhood and create a new daily habit that may just change your life!
Your goal for this mission:
For the next 30 days, you will receive a Gratitude Journal every day. You can fill this in on your own in your own time or you can join in the live sessions to complete it together with your Mosaic Sisters. This event will be the same time every day for the next 30 days and will be posted in our Facebook group.
• In 30 days time you will receive a total of 7 Daily Challenges - For completing the mission, you must complete at least 3 of these Daily Challenges.
• Every day you will be given a daily Mini Gratitude Action to complete - For completing the mission, you must complete at least 10 Mini Gratitude Actions.
